Zumba!

Thursday was an early morning.  I woke up at 5:30 to make the 6 AM Bosu Ball Training class.   It started out like all the other workout classes with getting warmed up and then we went outside the room and did lunges in lines down and around the whole facility.  When we got back to the room after our little “journey” we started doing jumping and running on the bosu ball.  It was challenging but I enjoyed the different experience of doing the common exercises, like planks , on the bosu ball. Thursday, I also took a zumba class and it was so much fun.  Yes, it was definitely a good hard workout but it was enjoyable.  Learning the steps was challenging because it’s a very fast paced class but once you pick up on the moves it’s really a good class.  I think that this class will be very helpful to put in our booklet that we are making because there are lots of different gyms and facilities that have zumba classes and they are fun ways to be active.  I mean it was pretty much just dancing and so while you are doing it, it doesn’t really feel like you’re working out, like how it feels to go for a run or do sit ups.  It’s very fun, but its even better when you have a friend there to laugh with.  We also have now officially started writing for the booklet.  We wrote the letter from the editors, which is basically a short writing that discusses our purpose for making the booklet; and we also started outlining the first major section of the booklet. Hope everyone had a great first week of project!
